11/3/19 We were hit with a rather severe wind and rain storm the other day. There was a lot of flooding in our area and numerous people without power. Winds in our town were recorded close to 60 mph so with strong winds come broken off trees, branches and whole trees uprooted especially with the ground as saturated as it was. Been in the woods the past couple days cutting trees and limbs off the lines so we can get them up off the ground before the snow comes. Once all the debris is off we will start repairing the damage to the lines. Should be in good shape come sugaring time assuming mother nature doesn't throw us a curve ball. Still have plenty of syrup available for purchase.
12/16/18 Line maintenance has started in preparation for the upcoming season. The woods looks in pretty good shape overall. We want to thank all of our customers for their business this year. We appreciate it. We still have plenty of syrup available as well as our cream, sugar and candies.

2018 Season is underway. We've got a new man in training. Looking good Finn. Keep up the good work!
03/04/17 We've got a good start on production so far this season and have fresh syrup available for sale. Stop in at the sugarhouse if you see we are boiling and pick some up.
12/01/16 The last of our 2016 crop is packaged and ready for its new home! We have half gallon tins and jugs, quart jugs, pint jugs, specialty log cabin tins (wonderful holiday gift!), 250 ML glass maple leaf bottles, maple candy, and maple sugar.
8/13/16 Tank is here. She's a big one.
8/10/16 Slab is in, waiting on delivery of the tank so we can put a building around it. Seems like putting the cart before the horse but it will be easier to get the tank in place without the building there.
7/21/16
We've started doing a little ground work behind the sugarhouse preparing for a concrete slab. We have a new tank on order for additional sap storage capacity. We will also be adding some new lines in the woods to pick up additional taps.

Wrapped up the 2016 season today. We had a very good year despite our early concerns with the weather. Went into the season after an extremely mild winter and no snow in the woods. We want to thank all the people who helped us this year especially our neighbor Sherman and our father Alan. You guys are a huge part of making this operation work. We have syrup, sugar and maple candies available. Contact us to place your order.

The season is well under way at this point. Production has been very good and we are going into a nice freeze up for a few days. This will give the trees and us a chance to recharge. It's been a busy few weeks and we all can use a few days of rest. The extended forecast looks like the season should last at least another week. Only time will tell. We have syrup available for sale as well as maple candies and sugar. Contact us prior to the end of the season to place your order for the best prices. USPS shipping rates have increased and we have not adjusted our pricing yet.

We have boiled a couple times so far. Once on 2/21 and again on 2/25. Very happy with all the new upgrades we made this year. The new Reverse Osmosis is a beast and is saving us a lot of time as we can now start that machine and begin boiling immediately where in the past with the smaller machine we have had to wait several hours for it to process the sap before we could fire up the evaporator. We were able to get out and check for vacuum leaks in the woods the other day when the sap was running and have things pretty tight. One woods is running close to 28 inches of vacuum and the other is about 26. Looking forward to the next run whenever that may be. Feel free to stop in and see us.

12/14/2015 We have finished the addition and the new Reverse Osmosis machine has been delivered. Still have to hook the electrical up to it and get it plumbed in but that's all inside stuff. We've been working on getting all the brush and down trees off the lines before the snow flies. It hasn't been too bad and the lines are in pretty good shape. Hoping for a "Normal" winter and a great season. We still have syrup available and are also making candies and granulated sugar. Contact us if you would like to purchase some.

We are building a small addition to the sugarhouse right now. We purchased a new Reverse Osmosis machine and the room we had the old one in wasn't going to be big enough. The addition is 9' x 30' and will have room for the RO machine and our electric releaser. At least that is the plan. Along with needing a bigger room, we also needed to add another electric service. We are also adding a concrete pad in front of the sugarhouse which should cut down on the mud and dirt tracked in during the season.

The 2015 season is in the books as far as production and we have our products available for sale. We look forward to hearing from you and thanks to those who stopped by to visit this year when we were boiling and to those who have already purchased from us

The sap is finally starting to flow these days and we have been boiling off and on. It was running good this afternoon and should run throughout the night. We will be boiling tomorrow which should be our first big day of the season.
03/17/15
Made our first syrup of the season today. Always nice to get the first boil out of the way without issues. Looks like a cold week and we will be back into sugaring weather next week.
03/11/15
Had a small run the past couple days with the slight warm up. Got the trees at least thinking about giving us the goods. Lines are flushed and we are ready for the big runs..
03/03/15
Finished tapping the trees today. Now time to get the sugarhouse in order and hope for a nice gradual warm up with warmer days and frost at night.
02/14/15
2015 is here and we've been busy getting things ready for the upcoming season. The tubing has been checked over and the damage repaired. A few improvements to our equipment have been made and we are ready. We started tapping a few trees earlier this week but are on hold now until some warmer temps arrive. We are setting up an online store here on our website and hope to have it up and running by the time we start production to make it easier for those wanting to purchase our product. As always though, you are welcome to stop by the sugarhouse and pick it up in person.

Yesterday the sap actually ran quite well despite the warm weather and no freeze. The sugar content of the sap is way down so it is taking quite a bit of sap to make a gallon of syrup. We made 90 gallons yesterday and the cold weather starting tonight should keep us busy for awhile longer. Our syrup total for the year now is 1563 gallons.

The season has been late to start here with it just picking up now. We made 120 gallons yesterday which brings our total for the year to over 700. We currently have a nice Medium amber available for sale.

Hope all is well with everyone. We've been busy gearing up for the 2014 season around here. Unfortunately we were hit quite hard by the ice storm in late December and just recently finished clearing and repairing the lines from all the downed trees and broken limbs. I must say it was quite discouraging to see the amount of damage caused by the seemingly endless freezing rain but we are on track to have everything tapped for the season ahead. Below are a few photos of the carnage....
